Nowadays the world of sustainability has exploded. It’s at the forefront of state and federal legislation, corporate governance, product manufacturing, every-day living, and even finance.

CT Senator 26th District – Will Haskell
State Senator Will Haskell was first elected in 2018 to represent the twenty-sixth Senate District which consists of Westport, Wilton, Ridgefield, Redding and parts of Bethel, New Canaan and Weston. Prior to being elected to the State Senate, he worked for the Democratic National Committee, and helped launch the Free Speech Project, an academic endeavor based at Georgetown University, his alma mater. He has previously worked for the Connecticut Office of the Public Defender, the Capitol Hill offices of Congressman Jim Himes and Senator Chris Murphy, and Hillary for America.

Samantha Dynowski, Executive Director, Sierra Club-CT
Samantha Dynowski, joined the Sierra Club in August 2018 as Connecticut State Director. Prior to this, she was Director of Advocacy and Outreach and the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance. A Connecticut native, Sam is an avid hiker and gardener and resides in West Hartford. The Sierra Club makes a difference on environmental issues on the state and federal levels by informing and mobilizing its grassroots network of members and activists.
Jen Gorin, Founder, Impact Growth Partners
Jenifer Gorin is an experienced business professional and social responsibility activist. She is passionate about bringing her background in finance, market research, consulting and project management to help companies become better businesses for all stakeholders. Jen spent nearly a decade working in finance at Credit Suisse. As Director of Media and Telecom Investment Banking she executed mergers, acquisitions, and financings for media and telecommunication companies. She subsequently oversaw the delivery of “One Bank” to clients in the Americas region by integrating the services provided across divisions at Credit Suisse.
Prior to her career in finance, Jen directed public opinion advising projects for political and corporate clients at Penn, Schoen Berland, a market research, political polling and strategic consulting firm.
Jen has volunteered as a consultant for HBS Community Partners, advising greater New York based nonprofits including the Westport Historical Society, Wakeman Town Farm, the Audubon Society and Just Food, Inc. She is a member of the Westport Democratic Town Committee and is Co-Chair of the Democratic Women of Westport.
Jen has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB from Harvard College.
Analiese Paik, Founder, Sustainne
Sustainne’s mission is to unite, nurture and grow a community dedicated to sustainable living. Sustainne connects consumers who value sustainability with businesses that stand out in their efforts to be socially and environmentally responsible. Sustainne networks business members with one another to strengthen and grow their ecosystem through collaboration and innovation. Sustainne Community Partners play a vital role in advancing sustainability and she is committed to deepening their social impact through regular collaboration with the Sustainne community.
Prior to launching Sustainne Analiese was a sustainable food advocate and founder and managing editor of the Fairfield Green Food Guide, an award-winning digital news publication dedicated to empowering Fairfield County consumers to eat more locally and sustainably. She holds an MBA in Finance and previously worked in marketing management in the financial services industry.
She is the recipient of awards that include the 2016 and 2015 Morris Media Green Award Honorable Mention and 2012 Slow Food Metro North Snail of Approval Award.
Rhonda Sherwood, Founder, Sherwood Green Life
Rhonda Sherwood is a mother of three children and a life long advocate of toxic free living. For seven years, she served as founding Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Mount Sinai Children’s Environmental Health Center in New York under the leadership of Dr. Philip Landrigan, the Director of the Department of Preventive Medicine. She is the founder of Sherwood Green Life, a blog, retail and e-commerce store that sells luxury, plant based skincare, makeup, bath & body and hair care products. Ms. Sherwood holds a degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
James Osborn, Founder, Envest Asset Management
James has dedicated his entire career to industries that advance sustainability through environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) issues and socially responsible investing (“SRI”). After working for institutions as an environmental engineer, an investment banker in social infrastructure, a clean energy banker, and, most recently, a clean energy investor in the private equity space, he started Envest Asset Management, LLC (“EAM”). As a grassroots effort to increase ESG practices, EAM brings SRI and ESG investing to individuals, families, businesses, and non-profits.
Outside of work he is an active board member on two non-profit boards: the Ridgefield Education Foundation (“REF”) in Ridgefield, CT, and the Woodcock Nature Center in Wilton, CT. James holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
